How would you try and find crappie tomorrow?

I am heading out tomorrow to try and find a slab or two. We will likely head to Nolin. Could go to Rough, Green, Cumberland or Barren if anyone knows where they might be hotter.

Anyway, where would you look to find a few crappie. We tried some standing timber down on Nolin a couple of weeks ago. No luck for us but I suspect we didn't have the proper technique. I am thinking we might need a jig under a slip bobber set at a certain depth. We were dragging a minnow and throwing a small plastic grub. Any tips would be appreciated. Getting to spend a day on the water with my mom and dad.

Go to rock creek and fish a jig under a float 3-4 feet.Kow some guys who are catching their limit almost everyday.Hope this helps.Nolin-rockcreek!

Appreciate that info kind sir. That is where we were a couple of weeks ago. We didn't give them much of a chance, just getting out on the lake for a bit. We will give em another shot tomorrow.
