Any reports on how the crappie are doing around Scotts Creek I was thinking on going down there sometime over the weekend. Thanks.
I fished sat, sun, and mon. the lake is turning over right now I don't know how much it has left but the musky fishing was good/fair the bass fishing was terrible, I'm not sure about the crappie I know they had a crappie usa tourny this weekend and it was very weak only took like 1 or 2 pounds to win with 7 fish, the grass is dying, temps are 58-60, water was coffe colored, hopefully the turnover is about done and in a week or so it should be good.
I also heard that the bass and musky and I assume the crappie are doing much better in the river than on the main lake probably due to turnover, so you may want to try putting in at poppin rock, but be careful its very stumpy if your not familiar with poppin rock, I usually just drop the trolling motor and don't even use the main motor, should be good fishing there within trolling motor range.
I just fished the main lake yesterday and if you're not fishing for musky then I'd highly advise the staying in the river. Poppin rock is clear and looks good.
Thanks for the reply my drive is about 2 1/2 hours, maybe I will wait a little longer.
