UofL and UofK basketball

This was the game that was not televised live. It was supposed to be a CBS national broadcast but that was the morning of the space shuttle tragedy and the news stayed on all day. Luckily, some of us where in Freedom Hall!

Hah, that explains it why I don't remember the game...It was at Cheatem Hall where it's always 8 on 5.....lol J/K... But it always seems like it......

Uhmm Mills, not sure if you haven't had your coffee yet or not this morning, but the last time U of L and IU played basketball Louisville beat them like they stole something from them. Feb. 1st. 2003, #8 Louisville 95 #20 Indiana 76.

I learned a very humbling message at that particular game..........My good buddy GadgetMan, who is a HUGE U of L fan had tickets to the game at Freedom Hall. He asked me and I went........

I gave him crap the WHOLE game......Indiana basically OWNED the floor, and was whooping their BUTTS........BAD.........

Well you know that thing called Karma...........Mike DAVIS happened, and with about 3 minutes left in the game, with an 18 point lead..........DAVIS lossed the game......

U of L put on one of the BEST scoring sessions I've ever seen, and IU put on one of the WORSE defensive efforts I've ever seen.......

It was humbling going from yelping and hollering, and wondering HOW I was going to survive the night, to griping about how BAD Davis was, and how the refs "stole the game".

It sucked.

Maybe you guys can get your new athletic director to acutally play us. The last one didn't want to renew the contract for basketball and won't play us in football.

We TRIED to steal Jurich again, but he couldn't HANDLE making the kids actually go to class, and ACTUALLY learn something.

The new athletic director has some serious work ahead of him, but Indiana will be fine, and ALL the athletic programs will be making a comeback.

Jurich isn't going anywhere, at least right now. He has to clean up this mess he made with the football hiring first, o itr is going to tarnish his legacy if he doesn't and belive me, TJ has a very big ego and will not want a blackmark on his resume'.

Why would he leave the Louisville with the budget and control he has. Also, I missed the joke I guess, does U of L suddenly have a problem with players going to class or graduation rate problems?

Boys I think both teams are gonna be solid this year. Lots of new faces with talent. It's going to be an interesting year on the hardwood for sure. Good luck to both teams may they have fine seasons.

They both look good...........unlike my beloved Hoosiers

BUT...........next year, it's a NEW ball game.........the Hoosiers this year will be sorely outmatched, having no real bluechip players.........

Next year, they bring in a top 4 class, and the year arfter, the have some unofficial MONSTER prospects.............

Didn't mean to leave the Hoosiers out of the equation guys as Crean will make them monster again. The nation had completely forgot about Marquette and within three years of Crean showing up down there they soon remembered the name quickly. The guy can flat out coach and is a great recruiter.
