My point was they have always voted Democratic but it is now a bigger issue because their votes went to a black canidate. I never said I supported why they always voted the way they did.

Re: The United States of America, US

I find it very interesting that the most influential African American of all time, Martin Luther King, was a Republican. What does this tell us...well, first off, he was a religious man. He didn't believe in anything contridictory to the teachings of the Bible (i.e. abortion, homosexuality, dependency, etc). He taught that all humans should be equal and have equal opportunities to grow and prosper. Unfortunately, that dream has not fully come to past. One of the most detrimental factors that has impeeded this dream from coming to pass is that of the Affirmative action. This law allows people of a different color to obtain work over a higher skilled and educated worker. Equallity? All this does is create more unequality and gives a sense of entitlement. If we truly want to all be equal and treated the same, then we should be!
The only reason the majority of African Americans are now Democrats is due to the Democratic Socialist agenda. If the Democrats are in power, they get more welfare, handouts and government aid. Throw an African American Democrat into the mix, and forget about it! The idea that the amount of people who didn't vote for Obama because of his race balanced out the amount of people who did vote for Obama because of his race....is ridiculous. We are talking 99.9% of the African American vote went to Obama. If that is not racial voting.......what the heck is! All I'm saying is that there is a double standard here. We, as white folks, are not allowed to discuss race in any form or we are deemed "racists". On the other hand, African Americans can talk about race all they want and it is OK, because they are...African Americans???
I am proud to see that our country is to the point were we could nominate a person of color to the most important position in the world. It says a lot about our great nation. However, we now need to move on and burry the racial divide and any form of racial unequality. To each, their own according to their skills. Unfortunately, Obama is a Democrat and will only cause more dependency with his socialist agenda. We are far from out of the woods yet.

Okay, one more shot at this. I'm not defending how one group or another voted, I'm just trying to get my point across. So here it goes.

I said that the black vote has always went Democratic, I also realize why but now the black democratic vote going for Obama is being deemed as racist because he is black.

Exit polls for this elction show Obama received 95% of the black vote and 43% of the white vote, while in 2004 John Kerry received 88% of the black vote and 41% of the white vote. That is a 7% increase from 2004 so it would only take a few out of a hundred of the white vote to be cast against him because he's black to almost balance things out.

Also the numbers break down like this.

In 2004 77% of the total voters were white and 11% was African American.

In 2008 74% of the total voters were white and 13% was African American.

Oh yeah, Geo it's freedom of speech that allows you to post on this message board how much you dislike Obama without any repercussions.

I have a hard time with anything that says CNN or ABC on it much less exit poll data. As someone who isn't black I see what looks like racism with 95% of blacks going for the Barry. When Colin Powell, Oprah, Louis F., Jermiah Wright, Black Panthers, some rappers and others who influence the black vote jumped on board I saw racism. No other way to look at it for me...the black race voted for a black man not a man who had great policies of change. I expected it.
Sure some votes didn't go his way because of his race again I expected it and so did he. So in the end he won, what I'm already hearing and it doesn't surprise me is that "the black man was voted in by the black race". We are going to get ours and crap like that, it disgusts me but I'm not surprised.
Uhh excuse me alot of whites and other races voted for him as well. I think the racial divide just got wider. The Liberal news will shove this junk down our throats for the next year but lets see how fast they turn on him when it's convenient.
I'm not that concerned with Barry it's Nancy P., Al Gore and Harry Reed type goons that concern me. Barry was just the last piece of the stinking pie. More over France, China and Canada were coming your way!!!!!

Do you trust Gallup? Because if you do they have Kerry winning 93% of the black vote in 2004 and Gore getting 95% of the black vote in 2000, so was that racisim in action then?

Did some black voters vote for Obama just because he's black? Sure they did, just like votes were cast against him because he was black. We will never know the true numbers but it's not fair to say all the black votes Obama received this year were racially motivated.

Not that it should even matter but I'm white.

To try and justify how Barry got in is crazy. Like most Libs you can't admit that it was a racial vote when it comes to blacks. Didn't the black voters come out in more numbers? Did all the endorsements that Barry recieved from the people in my last post influence the black voters? Did those same people do the same for Kerry? Gore? Get the picture???

The Dems have always catered to the minorities and in fact targeted the black voters more than any other group. Remember Al Sharpton, Jesse Jackson, Louis F. and any other black so called leaders, who did they rally behind the most? So just enjoy the win but to deny that racism was not involved is crazy. Racism is involved in almost every aspect of life. Why would a black man running for President be any different? It's not.

I do agree that Barry will have little effect on racism against blacks or whites. I maintain that if he isn't careful he will increase the divide. It's his turn with that huge responsibility and I'm really interested how the media will handle any hint of racism.

Some will have to live with it just as we have had to live with Bush the LAST 8 years, and seen our country go down hill due to his policys and his WAR. Bush the greatest far from it, his legacy is how he ruined the country due to selifish greed.
    Bobby,
I have seen you post many untrue things...much of which seems to directly parallel what is in the media.
    1. Head to the library and check out a few books on economics. We need to cut everything and raise taxes by 50% for the next 25 years to square it up.
    2. Almost all politicians are there for the power and control. Sure there are a few who really care, but let's keep it real.
    3. Pray for our leaders that they will put God first as in "In God We Trust".
    4. If you are a hard working guy, scratching out a living like the rest of us then you should appreciate someone like our president who doesn't try to spin everything.

Our president has done a fantastic job in a lot of areas and I pray the president elect can continue this trend. This is what the Good Book says we should do.
