    Re: North Licking River

There is one in Falmouth right by the bridge in town. One in Kenton Co. on Locust Pike and up around Cincy in Wilder is Fredericks Landing.

I live right on the Licking River and it is a good river to fish. I catch lm, sm, spots, crappie, sauger, white bass, drum, channel cats and flatheads and even an occasional muskie! You have to fish the river alot but it can be rewarding this time of the year

I live fairly close to the river in nicholas county and would like to learn to catch fish there but am not much for bank fishing...kinda like to move around a bit.So far I have fished it a few times at blue licks and put in at the clay farm but haven't caught any fish to speak of...it seems to be too shallow to have much room to move around in the areas i have been to.

Don't overlook the water on the Licking that can be waded, it takes a little work sometimes to get access but it has really paid off for me over the years. Bourbon and Harrison counties offer some great areas for smallies. I have always used topo maps to look for areas to access.

I lived in bourbon county quite a few years ago and did a little wade fishing in the summer...was when i was a great deal younger....is a really fun way to fish it is.The south licking is a great smallmouth area and there are a few launch ramps down toward the cynthiana area.haven't fished it much though,I need to spend some time doing that.
