HP Upgrade???

I have a 12' jon with a 1978 6hp evinrude model 6804B. I remember hearing about being able to do something in the motor (maybe replacing a part or two) in order to squeeze 2 or 3 more HP out. I know thats not much but, considering what its pushing, I think a 30%-50% power increase would help a tremendous amount.

Has anyone else heard of such a thing or know where I could find info on it?

Hydro-tec does these up-grades on Yamaha motors. Look them up on google and they might do something for the Rude motors too. Or they might steer you in the right direction. I have a 150 Yamaha and I am going to boost it 50hp with some bolt on modifications that they offer.
