Kentucky River

I am going to Ky river by carolton. Gunna try for some bass, hopefully the brown backs are biting. Has any1 heard anything about that part of the river? Never been there before.

Go up to the first lock, fish gold or copper color crankbaits. Shad colors will work too. If bass aren't biting try some curly tail jigs white or chartruese and you might pick up a sauger or some hybrids. Try some hard jerkbaits like a rogue too.
Fish any of the laydowns as you come back towards the Big O. I would hit the dam first.

Yes. I have run from ohio to first lock up Ky river plenty of times with no problems.
