I was at a shop on Saturday using their indoor range...and man, that place was packed with people buying guns and ammo. All of the range lanes were full, with people waiting, and they were lined up at the counter writing up gun sales.
Something to think about -
I'm hearing about a lot of "first time buyers" out there too. If you know someone who's new to the responsibility of owning a firearm, you might be a pal and try to make sure they are educated on safety. A gun isn't dangerous, but a gun in the hands of a newbie who hasn't been around them before and doesn't know the ins and outs of safe operation is scary dangerous. For those of us that are legal gun owners, I see it as a responsibility to speak up when I see someone with that look in their eye and try to help educate if they're willing to hear. You can tell the folks that need it. If we don't, the accidents that can happen only serve to give the media more ammo against gun rights.
