I have been thinking the same thing, just don't know about cutting that hole. I have wandered how guys keep the foot control cables off the graph in the bow panel?
Might be a good idea to ask Col Foribin.....he had the reccessed put in my boat when i bought it....don't know if he did it himself or had somebody to do it for him but it appears to be professsionally done...might be able to give you some assistance...seems to work prefectly....have had some friends do it and doesn't seem to be a hard process in the stratos's....if you need more advice get to mee in a pm
I installed a comfortroll in my boat and it was easy and looks great. Took about 1.5 hours to install. That's cutting the hole using a jig saw. mounting the trolling motor to the recessed. I rewired the trolling motor cables so they are not seen and hooked up the drain hose. I think it was like $145 for the comfortroll.
Go to Bass Boat Central and do a search, all kinds of info on this topic.
Ok anyone know who will install this in Louisville area, called a couple of places and thay don't or have not done any. Thanks
Try Doug Meyer, He is on this sight as onemorecast56, he is in Shepardsville I believe. Everyone says he does top notch quality work. I need to get ahold of him myself to see about doing some work for me. His number is(502) 543-7787.
Its not that hard to install. I live in Louisville you can come by and look at mine. Send me a PM and I'll give you my address if you want to check it out. You can do some research on different "bass" pages and from what I could see the comfortroll's was the best.
Barry
I live in louisville but took mine to Bill Days in Frankfort a couple years ago. They did it while I waited. Wasn't that much but don't remember exactly. Helps my back for sure
Thanks for all the responses, I think me and my father-in law our going to tackle this project.
Let me know if you have any questions. You can PM or email. Its not that hard of a project.

Barry is right, they are simple to install. I put one in my boat and put one in 2 buddies boats. Just make sure you get a lot of really good measurements to make sure it's centered and check for loose wires that may be up against the bottom of the deck. Also check and see how far forward the front compartment goes. You may have to trim down into it and seal it with silicone.
