Mid-August transitional bass fishing on Patoka Lake. The annual fall migration can start as early as August in the region. If you find one good keeper, your likely to find a lair of other big bass near by. By far my favorite time of the year to bass fish. I had three weekends of back to back limits caught in 1-3 hrs. These fish combined averaged just over 4lbs. All caught on chatterbaits followed up with jigs after the actively feeding fish where caught.
*No i didnt keep these fish, I released four in my families farm pond so that my nephew might due battle with them this spring.
