December on the Cheaspeake Bay, trolling for huge stripers. Freshwater, would definetly be on Falcon Lake, when those huge bass were biting.

there is so many places i would like to go to, like to mexico and el salto or shark fishin is one thing i have always wanted to do. or go to seal island and watch the jumping sharks. but if i had one day left it would proubley be at green river on the house boat with my family so i can still bass fish and be with family and friends. because all those other places would be nice but those only happen once in a life time, being with my family is a life time that only happens once.

I would pick any lake and take my little girl out for the first time and pray she would catch a BIG UN.

I think I would go down to the Amazon to get ahold of some of those big peacock bass. That is one trip left I would love to make.

Only 1 day!!! I would choose early spring at a local pond with my son. Catching bass on flukes and buzzbaits, throwing rocks and whatever he wanted to do. It would be more the time spent with him than me fishing.

I think my last day dream trip would be to fish with my Dad and little girl in the Spring Pre-spawn at West Lake Toho when the fish are biting, the wind is calm and the feeling of the warm sun is on our backs.

My wife, son and all my fishin buddies would be on a lake "somewhere" and everybody catching their "favorite". You can guess mine by my name but my family would be catching monster bluegill (2 lbers). We would all come in to a spot that evening after sunset and have a big fish fry and BS session. Then before everyone left for the night, we would thank God for a wonderful day on the water together!

Re: If you had only one day of fishing left...

    1) Rough River Lake, on vacation in July, one evening, with my late uncle Charlie & my son Austin in the boat with me. Just throwing a worm to the bank & seeing what happens, telling jokes, & picking on one another. That would absolutely be the best day. If we catch something or we don't, it would be all about the company, & getting to spend one more day on the water with Charlie before he passes & let Austin learn more about this awesome man that he hardly got to know before he sadly left this planet earth & went to spend eternity with our Lord & Savior.

    2) Austin & I in a boat on Dale catching smallies one after another in the later part of April on the "Guys Getaway". Fisheater & his Dad in another boat. All out catching smallies one after another. Then coming in to shoot the breeze & tell stories at the dinner table in a cabin at Hendrix Creek.

To me it is more about the company rather than "The Fish Of A Lifetime".

These are my top two. In a particular order. The first one would be my first choice over & above any other day.

Re: If you had only one day of fishing left...

    For me it would be:

Freshwater - Urima Falls and Lake Guri Venezuala fishing for Hydrolycus armatus (payara) and Cichla temensis (giant peacock bass) with a fly rod. I currently own the payara in a fish tank. I marvel at his speed and power as he sumersaults backwards to impel his food from below with those two massive fangs!

Saltwater - Pitching live baits around the rigs in the Gulf of Mexico from sun up to sun up on light tackle to the various species of monster pelagics like wahoo, tuna, and mackeral.

Henry's Fork Idaho in late June/early July. Fly rod in hand and the Green Drake hatch so thick that you have to wear insect repellant to keep them off of you. In an idea trip I would take a break and walk into Lawson's fly shop and shoot the bull with John Gierach and A.K. Best.
