There are some good smallies in there, but they are few and far between. I caught one that was just shy of 4 pounds out of there last year and there seems to be more weighed in at tournaments then there used to. I think that as the reservoir ages you will see smallies slowly take hold. If the DNR would just stock some in there they would take off like a bat out of .... Anyway, If you are going there to specifically target smallmouth, prepare to get skunked.
When they are caught at monroe, it seems that they are from the narrows to the dam.
