    Thank you!

To the bass fisherman who blasted by at 65+mph within 15 ft of my boat while the stripers were in the jumps. You succeeded in your mission. The fish went down before we could even make another cast. Did you really need to go between me and the bank instead of using the 1/4 mile of lake on the other side of me? Did you see the hand gesture that I gave you indicating that you were #1? BTW, you were so close that my buddy actually got most of your registration # off your boat. We sent it to one of our water patrol friends along with a description of your boat. Hopefully it will be enough to track you down and have the water patrol pay you a little visit. If not, I'm sure I'll see you again next weekend. Look for the BRIGHT RED TRITON that you almost ran over Friday morning. I'll be looking for you!

    Re: Thank you!

They were worse this morning, Saturday. I was at full plane hugging the bank going around Low Gap Island and had a guy come straight at me. There was no place for me to go, the moron finally saw me, but I'd be lieing if I said it didn't scare me a bit. My Lord what was that Tournament the Bassmaster Classic or what? I was out from the mouth of Jamestown and State dock and I lost count after 28 bass boats ripped through there. If I was a betting man I'd guess there was another 15 to 20 after that, one right after another, hell I thought it was poker run weekend again.

It's just a matter of time before I see this joker again. I've seen him on the lake a few times this fall. I was less than 50 ft from the bank, had just stopped as the stripers had just come up. He ran between me and the bank with a 1/4 mile of the lake on the other side of me. Next time I see him out, I'm going to go out of my way to ruin his day.

I was too mad to think about it. I couldn't believe he was actually going to do it. Guess I better keep about 4 ounces of lead tied on for next time.

If they were going torward the dam they "got" what they deserved and were probably one of the 50 or so leaving the tourney early today My partner, for today, and I threw our two (probably 4.5 to 5 lbs) back and left early to get back to Louisville. I don't think we would have made the money but with a close to 3 hour drive it was not worth staying around to find out. But MAN ALIVE were there a LOT of boats leaving early.

On the other note, I hope you NAIL that dude's boat and "pay him back" as HE is what gives others a bad name. We intentionally slowed for the Stiper Boats, or went the long way around when we saw them, and they were VERY respectfully of us fishing too. I don't know why some of these people think the 15 extra seconds it takes to be polite will kill them. I don't get it at all. I apologize, on behalf of the rest of the tournament field that DOES CARE, for you experience with such a disrespectful boater. Sorry you had to endure that from him and I hope you get him with the registration #, that will hurt him more, I hope anyway.

I guess the whole point is that this guy had 1/4 mile of lake on the other side me. He chose to put us all in danger for something that he thought was funny. He made the choice to run between me and the bank.

    Re: Thank you!

I've probably mentioned this on here before, but it's worth telling again.
I had a relative that owned a 40' Carver and kept it docked at Burnside. One summer night they were taking a dip when a Ranger came screaming past just feet from them while they were swimming. The guy made the mistake of stopping, dropping his trolloing motor and fishing a couple hundred yards past them. Picture a 40' anything coming at you pushing the amount of water that a Carver pushes and knowing you can't get away. The ranger wound up on the bank with the guy flying the bird the whole time.
Long story short what goes around comes around.
