What is the most odd catch you have had?

Fall 2007 - Destin, FL Fishing Rodeo, caught the front half of a barracuda, a Shark took the back half as I was reeling in, although I'm told this isn't all that uncommon down there.

Fall 2008 - Dale Hollow, witnessed the same ugly, retarded, deformed, sick looking, one eyed, beat to heck and back, sorriest excuse you ever saw for a largemouth caught four times in two days! I swore if we caught him a fifth time we was gonna stuff him full of shiners so he'd leave us alone.

If the fishing gets slow I'm looking forward to catching me one of those garbage can lids, lol...

I caught a bluecat that had a 2 foot+ longnose gar inside of it.

A few months ago I'm cranking the edge of a submerged rock pile. Something stops my white Fat Free Shad. It starts pulling and I know I've got a beast! After about 15 seconds I realize it can't be a LM. I feel the fish get caught up in some structure on the bottom... Pop!!! My line breaks and that's it.

About 15 minutes later my buddy points out a big fish swimming on the surface. It's too far to see what it is but it's leaving a slow wake. It takes a dive and my white crankbait floats to the surface right behind it. We go retrieve the bait. It is perfectly in tact and has no line attached to it.

Last summer my dad hooked a loon with a gotcha while fishing for spanish macks in FL. I was drunk enough to try and use a landing glove to grab his beak and get him undercontrol. Long story short, loons are ALOT bigger when they are up close and MEAN. Im glad I didnt leave that battle missing some fingers or with life long scars! Luckily after awhile the lure pulled and bird was fine.

I have a secret summer saugar hole up a creek in well into OldhamCo, not weird I guess but I was surprised to find it!

Ive caught bullfrogs after throwing platics up on a bank and drank it in the water. Them frogs will hit and eat anything!

That's how I get my frogs now, to heck with staying up all night swatting at skeeters. They fight pretty good to. I can catch bigguns with a rod and reel and some texas rigged soft plastics.

Ive caught bullfrogs after throwing platics up on a bank and drank it in the water. Them frogs will hit and eat anything!

Didn't catch it but when disecting a bullfrog in high school mine had a good sized baby bird in it's stomach. It's feathers were a little decomposed but the bird hadn't been there long.

I was completely confused looking at the diagram in the biology book showing the frogs stomach and intestines because my frog just had this huge round thing in it that looked nothing like the picture. The teacher came over looked at it and said huh, cut it open and let's see what we have. I thought the girl sitting next to me was gonna puke when I cut it open and there was the bird.

I have caught a can, a motorcycle tire and a boot, yes all the things you have seen caught in cartoons I have caught.

Bullfrogs are savage beasts! Wed be in trouble if they were bigger~! I went frog giggin on Barren one time and while cleaning our catch I decided to cut the stomach open of the biggest one we caught and there was a baby snapping turtle in its stomach! It was dead but it hadnt been digested at all yet. Creepy...

Lol i second that,i was in front of the dam a few months ago and had a hold of what i thought was a monster,i would reel in for 20 or 30 feet and it would stop and go back out.After about 10 minutes and being dog tired i finally figured out it wasnt a fish but an anchor line or barge rope,I never did see it though but by the feel of it i figured it out.With that much dam going and it giving me some and then taking it back,i thought i had a beast.I was whooped and dissapointed.
