    2001 Ranger R83VS

This is a 2001 Ranger dual console with a 2001 Mercury EFI 175. Boat is tournament ready with Lowrance 334i GPS w/ gimble mount at console, Humminbird 141C at bow, Hotfoot, 6" manual jackplate, locker-bar on front deck, transom saver with prop lock, rear retractable ratcheting tie downs, 70 lb. Motorguide Pro Series trolling motor, on board battery charger, front deck extension, retractable rod tie downs on front deck, keel guard, and trailerable cover. This boat looks great and runs better. Top end speed of 65mph. I hate to give up my favorite toy, but buying a house is more important. You may e-mail me at [email protected] or call me at (270) 985-6064 with questions. I can also e-mail pictures on request. The boat is located in Hopkinsville, KY just north of Clarksville, TN. Thanks guys.

Firedawg1719, I would list your boat on Craigslist, ebay and your local paper. If you look at the other boats on here, not putting yours down at all cause at least you have one, they have newer ones with higher powered engines in great shape for less than yours. The market on boats is INSANELY low and the ones I have been looking at, that are actually selling, are only selling at 1,000's below list. There are exceptions, but they are few and far between. I have been seeing people do better trying to go different routes, but the guys on here KNOW what they can get a boat for today and are not likely to pay anywhere near what you are wanting. Just my two cents, and I understand the "family/house first" concept, but it would not hurt to advertise in different places. Good Luck and God Bless.

firedawg, dont give that boat away. i know the george bush syndrone economy is terrible at the present time and will probably stay this away for at least two or more years, but i have the same boat you have and i would not take a penny less than you are asking.go buy a new model ranger today with a 175hp on it and see what they would pay!!!!!

that is a great price on that model of ranger.probably this same time next year you can buy one even cheaper if the economy does not improve.i work with a co worker that has a uncle that works for genmar(owns ranger, stratos, etc)says he will be looking for a job in 2009.

I am not here to argue with anyone on about the difference between a new boat and mine, all I know is that my boat is in better shape than most used and is half the price of a new one. I get compliments all time about how good a shape it is in and people can't believe it is a 2001 model. It is definately worth the $19,000 I am asking and should be given serious consideration by anyone looking for a top of the line used boat. It is "loaded to the gills" as was previously stated by ryan_ekubass with everything he listed in his post plus some. Thanks to all for your comments.

Here is the bottom line folks...not the first time I have seen someone on here telling someone they want too much for an item...if you want to argue with someone about the price of their item..do it offline. This board is for selling stuff, not argueing about the price.

Dave, I don't think anyone is arguing over the price of the boat. It's more like discussing the effect of the economy on the price of boats. That's all!

That WAS my intent, the boat is priced fairly, but the economy stinks. I was just offering other suggestions on putting elsewhere to hopefully GET what it was worth. I would consider this a HUGE bargin in a normal economic situation, and maybe even question why it was priced so LOW, but times are what they are. Sorry if I cause trouble here fella's.
