Went yesterday and for the first time in 6 years of fishing the CR I was blanked...and that's saying alot because I fish it often. I can't blame the fish for not wanting to come to the surface. It was 32 degrees and 100% chance of rain where we were all day. It was a miserable day. But we had the river to ourselves!
We threw everything at them...and didn't even get a look.
If you are going in a canoe make sure you are wearing waders because if the water is low you will have to get out and push your boat down river. The bite is a little slower, but when it's a nice day even if it's cold they will bite.
