It is great that you accepted the LORD as you personal savior. I have been reading and enjoying your posts for awhile now. I grew up with Rob and roomed with him in college and fished with him a bunch. He has kept me up on your health. I just wanted you to know that I will be praying for you and your health, along with your walk with GOD. i am having surgery at UK on Monday 12-22-08 on my neck. Hopefully after I recover maybe we can all get together and go fishing. Ask Rob about Bill Dance calling him to fish Greenbo with him.

Be a little bit chilly right now and I don't want to wait for the water to warm up. Not to mention that between my family and my wife's family plus my friends that are going to show up, we may need a bigger church. Pretty much all are welcome and I will post the exact date on this post when the time comes. Waiting on my wound to close up and be closed for a couple of weeks, maybe around the end of January.

That is wonderful news and you will always be glad you were baptized. I don't want to steal your thread but want to share something that happened when I was baptized. My brother was a minister and I asked him to baptize me in a lake near our childhood home. We've always been a family that hugs each other often. The lake was in a State Park and it was a hot Sunday afternoon with lots of people enjoying the water. We waded out into the water, he prayed and then baptized me. I wiped the water out of my face and burst into tears and stood there hugging him. When I looked around the lake full of strangers were watching, wide-eyed, wondering what was going on between 'that woman' and the preacher. We walked out of the water holding hands and I looked at one particulary interested woman and said, "It's okay, the preacher is my brother," to which she replied, "Well, I sure was having trouble figgern' that one out."

I cannot tell you how proud I am that it was my brother who baptized me. He died in an automobile accident last Christmas.
