    Are there ANY honest politicians?

Rod Blagovitch our (Honerable Govenor) was led away in handcuffs by federal officials this morning. They served him with a 75 page list of chit he supposedly did. With a little luck President Bush will not pardon our last Govenor George Ryan (who is in prison) they can share a cell and cry on each others shoulder.

Heard some of it on the news at lunch. They have him on tape bargaining for who he appoints to President elect Obama's now vacant Senate seat. One of his aides is on tape saying the President elect can get the Governor's wife some appointments to paid spots on corporate boards. The old gov was dropping F bombs left and right on the tapes, and at one point referred to the President elect as a MF'er. Pretty tawdry stuff.

The U.S. Attorney at the press conference said Mr. Obama was in no way implicated, nor do they believe he had any knowledge of these goings on.

I'd say this kind of stuff is the norm, especially in Chicago. What isn't the norm is someone getting caught at it. Under current Illinois law, he can make the Senate appointment from jail if he chooses.

What amazes me is that folks will get on here and other forums and actually argue over which is the best crook to vote for.

I have met one honest politician in my life and it was state rep Larry Belcher. He was one of my former teachers who retired and ran for office on an education and taking care of kids platform and all of his votes reflected exactly what he stood for which was also exactly what his campaign promises said. Unfortunately he was killed in a car crash a few months back while driving home from Bowling Green.

Heck, the off topic would be dead if not for an occasional Political jab fest.

Even the FBI says that this state is very corrupt, one of the worst if not the worst. This guy is dirty and gets on T.V. with that smug look just acting like he is untouchable.

Loved the interview he did yesterday were he said:

""I should say if anybody wants to tape my conversations, go right ahead, feel free to do it," said Blagojevich Monday. "I appreciate anybody who wants to tape me openly and notoriously, and those who feel like they want to sneakily and wear taping devices, I would remind them that it kind of smells like Nixon and Watergate."

Looks like he got what he wanted.

Oh yeah, tomorrow is his birthday. Have a good one Mr. Blagojevich

One last thing, does anyone think the guy look a little like Janet Reno or is it just me?
