For years I've run my trolling motor on what I thought was a "parrelle" system of batteries. I have batteries 1 and 2 connected to each other positive-to-positive and negative-to-negative and then the trolling motor's leads connected "only" to the positive and negative posts on battery 1. Now, I found a schematic on-line that shows parrelle batteries connected the same way I have mine, BUT the the trolling motor leads are connected to battery one's postive and battery two's negative. So, the 12-volt trolling moto leads are connected to each battery instead the mine which are connectedt to only battery's posts. My questions are, does the way I have my batteries wired double my reserve capacity by having two deep cycle batteries and how are your 12-volt parrelle batteries wired?
