The 520c does not paint the same picture as the one shown by adam7456 on his they are clear arches which is what everyone says they are supposed to look like and on my bow unit it's the same as what he posted. On your 520c the shad will show up in balls and the stripers will be more straight lines especially if they are feeding back and forth. If you catch a striper just sitting still he will look like an arch of some kind similar to the second picture Adam showed but if they are moving which most of the time they are they will not look like that at all. Just pay attention when you see a bait ball of what is underneath them if there are line those are the stripers and you now know for sure what they look like. The 520c is a great unit they just look different. Even in the gulf when I am over a school of fish on a reef in 50' of water they are not arches, unless yours is different than mine I would not expect to see arches.
