tips for float-n-fly fishing

Hey guys ive got some time off between christmas and the new year and I was hoping for some tips and advice on this float-n-fly fishing. I have fished spring summer and fall, but ive never really fished in the winter. But when I heard about the f-n-f I knew i had to give it a try!!! I live in central KY and im familar with lake cumberland on the alligator docks to the dam as far as lake access and im about 1 and a half hr from Dale Hollow, but I have no idea how to even get to a boat ramp there. So please i will take and appricate any and all the tips and info that you can spare. thanks

I'm no expert, but I have fished it about a dozen times with some modest success. I'd be happy to take a trip to Cumberland with you and show you what I know. I do have plenty of flies and bobbers and 2 FNF fishing rods.

wouldn't mind to take up the float n fly myself....went one time last year and only had a couple smallies, a largie, and a spot....love minnow fishin cumberland but don't own a float n fly rod

I live in lexington and myself and a fishing buddy of mine are doing the same thing as you. We are heading to cumberland sometime over the x-mas break and would love to go down with some folks. Cant offer much in the way of experience with the FNF but we are going to give it a shot!! The guys on this board gave some great advice and we are going to try it out.............

I'm off work from 12/24 through 1/4 and would love to head to Cumberland or Dale with anyone who wants to go. I don't have a boat personally, but my brother has a small boat and he and I will probably go a couple of times.

i know im going minnow fishin the 27th but wouldnt mind to head out maybe the next weekend and try the fnf....i always put in at the dam and have a boat
