    Hey..

Hey, I am new to the board. I was wondering if anyone knows any good spots to bank fish around Northern KY area at this time of year? I've never done any winter/cold fishing and I really miss the summer. I can't wait to go fishing some more when it warms up.

Here's some ideas, below Meldahl or Markland Dam. The Licking river in the Falmouth area. A.J. Jolly lake. Mills park, Prisoner lake's. Casterline pay lake in Ryland Heights. The mouth of the Licking on the Ohio river.

    Re: Hey..

Welcome to the board. Watch my posts for fishing Northern Kentucky areas. I am from Alexandria area. My suggestions are the banks of the Ohio River, Meldahl dam and it tributaries. There are several small lakes with bank access: Kincaid, AJ Jolly, Boltz, Elmer Davis, Corinth, Doe Run, Bullock Pen and the Licking River. In Ohio, East Fork Lake and Little Miami River. In Indiana, Whitewater River and Brookville Lake. All are within 50 miles of the Cincinnati area.

Thanks to everyone, I live right near prisoners and doe run is not too far away. What types of fish should I be fishing for here?

    Re: Hey..

Prisoners Lake is stocked with trout in the spring and fall. Doe Run has crappie, bass, catfish and bluegill. One day on Doe Run I caught back to back casts 4 bass all over 3lbs on jig and pig. This was the first year it had opened. I heard it was closed last year for repairs. Nice little lake, heavily pressured. Decent little crappie lake.
