That is the major reason i fish cumberland, dale is the same distance, but on dale you always have some clown roaring by you.You get to your spot, and bingo, here comes anothjer hot shot. Sure there are some rude guys on cumberland also, but theres a 1000 places you can fish to get away from them. Week ends forget it!Rainy, windy weather, I stay home now. And this from a guy who used to go to minnesota to ice fish, had a snowmobile gas auger, gore tex rain gear, insualated everything, and waded stel head rivers in january.Got old to soon, and smart to late.

Posted this MANY times before and will again, Vanish and Vanish Transition are not worth the box they come in. Bass Pro XPS Flourocarbon or Seagar Invisix are the best Flourocarbons that I have found. Personally XPS is head and shoulders above all others but that is just my opinion like everyone else's.

I like the BPS but found one I like better and a place online to get it at reasonable cost. The line is the Gamma Edge FC and it retails for $28 for 125 yards. I found it online at $16 which I can afford given that I only use it on 3 or 4 of my rigs.

I have used the 10, 12 and 16# very successfully and for a number of years. A review I saw suggested the BPS was better and it is less expensive so I tried it. It worked well but I had a few line breaks that spooked me back to the Gamma where rarely have I had a line break.

Both are far better then vanish which I agree is not worth the cost put into the box itself. Another one to avoid is Triple Fish. Triple fish is rated very very agressively. The 12# is very small diameter that breaks at 8lbs. Maybe if a guy used the 20# and thought of it as 12# it might work out OK.

I have also had good luck with Pline in 15# FC (the one prior to Halo). Have not tried Halo.

I hate to see nice fish break off or breakoff in the hookset so I share this post in hopes you can avoid both of these.
