What in the wild world of sports are these officials thinking?? $600,000.00 for a **** awning!!!

The boat ramp is falling into the river and the launch is a joke, but the city has $600,000.00 to install a new awning??

I'm wondering how much $ they spent on all the rock they dumped????Well atleast the rivers up and it makes it alittle easier to launch... Chuck

Got to be kidding me....I believe if I still lived in Indiana in Clark County. I'd be investigating why the thing cost so much. Need to see if they took bids on the price for the expensive thing. Could just be one of them good ole boy things and a little kick back going to who ever authorized the buy......

I don't know the answer to that, but another member here contacted the City of New Albany about the deplorable shape of the ramp. The City official had no idea on who to contact to even start repairs, although the official did seem sympathetic to the problem.

But what galls me is that the City can come up with $600,000.00 to repleace a (*&^%$#@@ awning while the ramp is falling into the river.

I live in Floyd County Indiana but I am not a resident of New Albany.
