I guess my answer would depend on how much you throw the DD22.

Many M or MH rods will throw the 12ft and 14ft crank just fine but when you hit the DD22 they are overworked.

I use a Loomis CBR 847 for DD22's and 3/4oz lipless cranks and love it. Pretty optimal for both.

Below a DD22, I would reach for my Crucial 7MH Crankbait rod or an Airrius Co-Matrix 7M. For really light crankbaits, I use the Crucial Dropshot rod 6'6M.

I found it impossible for my 12ft crankbait rods to handle the DD22 for long periods.
