    Re: Identity Theft

I informed my credit card companies to never send me those stupid blank checks. If they did not honor my request I informed them that I would promptly cancel their card. I have not recieved anymore blank checks.

I also infomed my Bank to never send me any promo offers of any kind. All I wanted in the mail from them is my monthly statement. This request has also been honored.

In addition, I requested that they not sell my personal address and any information to any third parties.

Just call the companies that you do business with ie bank and credit cards, and they will honor your requests. If they don't, drop them and find another company that will fulfill YOUR needs.

Do not sign your name on the back of the credit card instead write photo ID if you lose your card no one can see how you sign your name and if they are asked for a photo ID they are screwed.

Also my wife lost her credit card six month ago and I have not reported it who ever stole it is only charging about half of what she did.

I print CID on the signature line on my credit cards. 90% of the time the clerk never looks on the back.

On one occasion the clerk looked puzzled when looking at the back and flipping over to the front, etc. The clerk's question was " Why is your name on the credit card "Tyme2fish" and you sign cid on the back. Is "Cid" your nick name? I lost it and couldn't stop laughing.
