My doctor still has not released me to go back to work even though he knows I am well enough to go fishing. I have asked to be released but due to the pretty major infection that I have had since October he wants to run a bunch of test and wait for the results before releasing me. I go on Tuesday for the test and it will take a week or so for all the results to come back. When you work for the state like I do and have been off as long as I have, they are pretty serious in that they have to have that doctor saying I am well enough to return to work in hopes of no relapses later. To tell you how, get sick have 8 surgeries in 18 months and throw in collapsed lung, pneumonia, major staff infection - TWICE, pass 9 kidney stones (1 of which required surgery until I passed it 1 hour before surgery then bled for 2 hours), plus Pseudomonus infection which is worse than MRSA that you hear about today and trust me, you won't be working and they won't want you back until you are well.
