I get several PM's a week asking for FNF information be it about the technique, how or where to fish (no spots but type of water or structure), to request from several that want to go fishing with me for the fly. I always have answered them in the most honest most detailed manner that I can and there are SEVERAL on here that have asked and received DETAILED PM's from me regarding any information that I can give be it FNF mostly but also about Ky Lake, even met fellas at the ramp at KY Lake the last day of a trip and personally took them to where I was catching fish because they had a 2 day club tourney that weekend. I even typed up a long PM to a fella on here asking about fishing cumberland, which I don't do, but I explained in DETAIL how I would go about doing it and he went out and had 7 boated on Friday and he sent a PM thanking me for the information. But information is also a 2 ways street. I had 2 different people sending me PM's before my week long trip last week with my buddy Cliff. I answered both of them in DETAIL again as usual, then we went out and had a very frustrating week with only 1 good day out of 5, that being thursday. But according to follow up post and pm's I see that these same 2 people SLAYED them the same week. THese 2 that were begging for information because the can't catch fish on the fly pretty much caught 10-1 for the week versus what we caught. I reply to both of them nicely asking what did they figure out that pretty much moved it from the craphouse to the penthouse and both of them said in not exactly the same words but meaning the same thing "we found something out and we will keep it to ourselves". Sure does want me to ask Peter to delete my article that I was asked to write, that several had asked Peter to ask me to write, that has since been copied on other sites (with my permission). Sure does make me want to "Keep whatever I know to myself in the future" for it does not pay to type up DETAILED information, give out your personal cell phone and offer any other help to any STRANGER that sends me a PM if when the time comes I just ask a simple question of what did you figure out and get rejected. I did not ask for honey hole gps cordinates but basic overview of what did they do different that what we did. This is fine with me because not saying I am any better than anyone else when it comes to the FNF but you can bet your last dollar that unless I have fished with you, you have your phone number programmed in my cell, or I know you personally, I have given out my last bit of DETAILED information to STRANGERS. WHen I say STRANGERS, I am not saying those that I have a personal relationship with be it email, phone or in person, basically if I can trust you to offer the same type of info in return I will still help but as far as the rogue email coming in from people that I have no clue about, I will not help and appologize in advance but this has left a REAL BAD TASTE IN MY MOUTH.
