I've heard of muskies on the Barren. If you don't care, indulge us on what and where you caught these fish. Any pics? I live in Bowling Green as well and am very curious. Thanks!

I live over by Mammoth Cave and have caught musky on the green river and I have hung into a musky or two on the Barren river. Check out the area around Beach Bend by putting in at the old Boat landing ramp. The water is shallow there so one would want to fish it when the water is up. There are some islands to fish around that give some good current breaks as well as a creek.

I used to float Barren river every year, we put in at the 101 bridge and took out either 4 to 7 miles downstream at the old iron bridge. Yes muskys are in that river, we had a couple blow up on top waters and one followed the bait all the way back to the boat,he looked like jaws coming up at that little bait, ultra lite and 6 lb test is not a musky rig. To answer slowjams ?. the river has lots of bass, we caught several up to 5 lbs, smallies in spots, and spoted bass, bluegill, hybrids, cats, carp, white bass. It has been a while since I have floated it but is is a ggod river to fish. Also the area below the dam is a good muskey spot this time of year, the feeder creek down below the camp ground is a good spot. Good luck
not the lake, barren river in warren co
