    Libadee Bowl

Well I'll be a monkey's uncle if this didn't turn out to be a pretty dang enjoyable game to watch. After quarters 1 and 2, I was ready to drink heavily in an effort to numb the pain. But after Brooks had a Wildcat McMuffin at halftime and chewed on some Wildcat ass, the boys came out ready to claw back.

I've never seen so many pivotal knee calls in my life.

    1. Knee Call #1, when the ECU player fielded the kickoff at the 1 yard line his knee was DOWN. It was not called. Advantage ECU.

    2. Knee Call #2, when the fumble recovery UK touchdown was reviewed and it was overturned, ruling that the ECU player's knee was down...I'm not sure it was "undisputable evidence" from what I saw, but whatever. Advantage ECU.

    3. Knee Call #3, when the second fumble recovery UK touchdown was reviewed and confirmed, it was ruled that the ECU player fumbled and the UK defender did not have possession of the recovery while his knee was down. Touchdown CATS. Advantage UK.

    4. Knee Call #4, when the ECU player fielded the kickoff again at the 1 yard line his knee was DOWN again. It was called this time. Advantage UK.

The way I see it, 2 calls swung ECU's way, and 2 swung UK's way. All's fair in love and war.

The ECU fans dissed us during the playing of My Old Kentucky Home in pregame. Maybe they didn't know, but we started scrapping with them to defend our honor.

Liberty Bowl Champs, period. Congrats to the CATS!

The 81% of the country that voted ECU to win can kiss a pig.

    SEC! SEC! SEC!

(BAMA is getting whipped by Utah right now though.)

To be fair, I'll root for Louisville when they play in their bowl this year....oh, wait....(That Bud's for you mhall! j/k )

I admit I changed the channel and missed some of the most exciting football during the long bowl season. Congrats to the Cats and the SEC!

Good game to watch Q, they deserved that win fair and square. I love ole Brooks, the man tells it like it is, and I though he was gonna chew that kids face off for taughting a bit after that one tackle on third and short. Kudos to the Wildcats, nicely done!

Yep say what you want about Brooks he is a class act. He's done a great job at KY no matter what the naysayers say.

The untold story of the game was Joker Phillips. I'm not sure I heard the announcers mention how UK changed its offensive scheme in the 2nd half to neutralize EC's rush. How many times have we seen it with Joker? If he can handle all the other coaching duties half as well as he handles the Xs and Os, he'll be great when he takes over.

LMAO!!! U of L has WON FOUR LIBERTY BOWLS and three of them they actually beat ranked teams. Got six more bowl games and a few times of being ranked in the final top ten before you can compare your team to Louisville...nice try though!

Now Tim, the past is the past...aint no time like the present! I was just busting chops over not making post season play this year. You guys will get back there. I was one of the "no team that goes 6-6 (2-6) should make a bowl game" guys myself.

I was not comparing my team to Louisville though...The Birds have a much better bowl history than we do and have been in the rankings more, I agree. (Of course, I'd like to see what their record and rankings would have been all those years if they had been playing the Floridas and Georgias and Tennessees and LSUs of the world in the S-E-C instead of Conference USA foes and The Big Least, but that's neither here nor there.)

Peace, my Cardinal friend...until tomorrow, that is. AINT THERE A BASKETBALL GAME TOMORROW?
