I enjoy fishing from a float tube as well, but I have never thought that the Elkhorn would be very good for it because of the depth and size of my most productive spots. I mainly wade fish the main stem and come across pools that would be deep enough for a float tube occaisionally. But, if they are deep enough, well, that won't last come Summertime. I know the Horn rolls along a little more lazily on the North and South Forks, and like the guy said, it certainly is deep enough in some of those parts for a small boat much less a tube. I just never fish those areas that much. I'd love to hear how you do from a tube if you do go. A great source of information about the Horn can be found by contacting Canoe KY in Peak's Mill. They may not be up on the latest fishing report or info, but they know the creek and creek conditions very well.
