An 03 engine with 200 hours on it works to only about 40 hours a year average put on it so it really is not many hours for that year engine. Like any used engine I would have it checked out by a certified marine mechanic before I bought it but the HPDI has a pretty good track record so if the engine checks out I would feel pretty comfortable with making the buy. Be happy to take you out here on Ky/Barkley if you decide to do so. I do not guide in Jan or Feb but do guide in March and currently still have some openings in this coming March. I own a 2005 ETEC 225 HO. I did have the lower unit go out and it was a known, so I was told, issue with the 225's that the lower unit was not strong enough to hold up. So they (Evinrude) are replacing them with the lower unit on the 250 HO's. Have not had any other issue though (knock on wood)!
