Christian taped this show with Jose in late Aug/early Sept of 2008. Jose and Christian met thru the Make A Wish Foundation and became close friends. It had been one of Christian's goals since transplant to return to the Keys and do a show with Jose. Christian had talked of possibly serving an intership and entering the outdoor publishing/broadcasting field as a career.
Jose spoke, and was a pallbearer, at Christian's funeral. It is obvious that they were close. Jose is also very close with Christain's mom and stepdad. I got to meet him and he is a very down to earth person. It spoke volumes of him, and of Christian, that he made the trip from the Florida Keys to pay his respects to Christian and his family.
