Truer words have never been spoken.
The new grips for my 1911 arrived today, so I'm stoked.
Don, we going tomorrow? I'm game for whatever...if you want to stay out of the rain/snow, we can do Bud's or Open Range...
Wow, when I saw this thread title I thought it would be about the movie with kevin Costner and Robert Duvall.

On a serious note, I have been hunting and shooting most of my life and have never shot at a range indoors or outdoors. gropwing up here in Bullitt County we always had a place to go shoot. I know it sounds strange but the next time I shoot at a range will be the first time.

The range thing is really nice when you consider the climate controlled environment compared to the rain and cold. It's nice to have no wind and total control over the targets.![]()
FYI, had to go to Wally World and get groceries tonight with my better half and snuck over to the ammo case in sporting goods....completely wiped out. No 45, no 9mm, no 38, no nothing...unless you wanted 22, you were screwed. Stopped by Meijer at Hamburg on the way home and did find Winchester White Box 45 in a 50 pack for $16, but better yet, Winchester White Box 9mm in a 100 pack for $22...that aint too bad. Bought 100 rounds of 45 and 100 rounds of 9mm.
