Well, they won't be interrogating on Gitmo, one of Mr. Obama's first orders of business is to close it down. Another poster mentions what to do with the 'residents' there without looking bad. President elect Obama doesn't have to worry about looking bad, the mainstream press will make sure he smells like a rose.

January 20th is going to be one of the biggest media 3 ring circuses ever produced.
He's gonna ride a Unicorn down broadway singing the change has finally come, Oh Praise the change. They fawn over this guy like he's the second coming or something it's absolutely over the top times Ten.

Did you see where some of the Palestians called for Obama to qoute, ''Come forward and help stop the slaughter of HIS innocent BROTHERS AND SISTERS''. Ouch you know he just loves the American people hearing this kinda thing. Their words not mine don't shoot the messager.

THEY ARE NOT STOPPING INTERAGATION OF TERRORISTS. They have come up with a new way to get them to talk, they threaten to give them a mortage to pay but no job to pay it with or worse yet a day on the lake with either Charlie Moore or Roland "son that's a monster 12incher"Martin, Roland would be alright but the condimend will have to use only Roland Martin products, ie, That stupid fishing thing he had out years ago and only Helicopter lures can be used. Or they will send them to Grumpys and Marks house for a little fishing adventure"

I think there will be a number of things that will be tougher than Obama thinks. Not sure why Bush would be laughing about someone else cleaning up the mess he made.

A number of problems with gitmo. Yeah, there are some people there who do not need to see the light of day again. Unfortunately, there are also others who did not have any link to Alqueda and were turned in by their rivals for reward money. While some of these folks were not a threat when they went in, having been there for a number of years, their opinions on us may be quite different.

While we all like hearing about the bad guy getting his arse kicked, sometimes its better to do it good and shut up about it. You advertise torture and your enemies use it against you. "See, look how they treat your brothers..." kind of crap. You also make myrtars out of some of them.

Well I was being sarcastic about Bush, sorry forgot to put a smiley face.
The Barry camp and HIS Liberal Media have praised Bush in his polite and sincere working relationship with the new Royal family.

    Re: Interrogation methods

Mr. Obama's making noises about not closing Gitmo so fast now. Something about signing an order to close it, but with no timetable attached. As it's been pointed out, reality is interfering with campaign promises.

I wonder what he plans for Afghanistan? He's said that's where the real alqueda problem was/is. Iraq was a walk in the park compared to that hellhole, and our fearless European allies sure ain't gonna help out much.

President elect Obama's position is much tougher than any I can remember. He has to deal with the country's issues while trying to keep his far left supporters happy. Poor guy looks one way and there stands Reverend Jackson, razor knife in hand and an evil gleam in his eye. He looks the other way and legions of naive college students are waving 'make love not war' placards in his face. Meanwhile his former colleagues in Washington have forgotten all about that silly hands across the aisle stuff. Nancy Pelosi heads up a liberal lynch mob bent on silencing conservative voices once and for all.

I personally believe Barack Obama to be a very smart guy who cares about the country, but cares more about his personal popularity. It'll be interesting to see if he makes executive decisions based on sound policy or media pressure and public opinion.
