trolling motor proublems

my trolling motor will work on 12 volt but not on 24 volt it was working fine and one day it just stoped what do i need to do. i think it might be the switch or the battery but how would i go about testing it.

bet it is the switch

check battery connections,circuit brakers,plug,switch..

thanks guys for the help, i need to replace some of that stuff any way because it is all the same that came with the boat, so i am sure it has not ben replaced in a wile. the boat is a 1988 its done had a rebilt motor and new cylenders the driver and passenger seats broke o and my trim relays. as much as i put in this thing i could have bought a new boat, but i guess when i am done it will be like a new boat.
