I live here and about 3 miles (by water) from the accident and the news reports say the boys had on life jackets - Until the boat hit a large wave over the bow. They were all wearing waders and took the jackets off to remove the waders but the water over took them. It is truly sad..... my wife has cried every day over this because we have a 19yr old and it very well could have been him. Say a prayer for the families and the rescuers as they battle these frigid temps to find the missing boys, they are accepting donations to help keep the rescue/recovery operational, news channel 6 in Paducah has it on their website FYI...
