    Fly tying supplies?

Does anyone know any places besides Bass Pro in Clarksville, or Dicks in or near Louisville where I might be able to find cheaper flying materials?

Here is where I get most of my stuff. Forward Cast at 129B St. Matthews Avenue. **** Haas is the owner and he either has it in stock, or he can get it for you very soon.

If you are ever in Lexington, Sportsman's Warehouse has a pretty decent selection. There is also a new Orvis store over in Lexington Green, but their stuff is a little more expensive.

    Good luck

    Re: Fly tying supplies?

I've been tying flys since before I could walk, and one thing that I realize early on is that fly tying supplies are expensive! Especially if purchased from a "fly tying" store. My secret is to go to craft stores such as hobby lobby (my favorite). It's awesome in there! Pheasant tails of all colors, beads of all colors, filaments, thread, feathers, wire, glue you name it! And the best part is.....CHEAP! That's what we are all looking for, right...To tie a ton of flies as cheap as possible. Just a little secret of mine, for what it is worth.

ps. My flies tied from cheap hobby lobby materials outfish any others you can buy, I guarantee! lol!
