noone tried it i guess or know anything about it i guess?
I've been out on the lake and had my cranking battery to go dead and had to switch over to one of my trolling motor batteries....only tried it long enough to get me back to the ramp....remove all of the leads from your trolling motor battery before doing it though....don't know if i would try it for much longer than it takes to get back to the ramp
you can do it, it can be done with 12 or 24 volt trolling motor, you can still do it with 2 batteries.
I always have a pair jumper cables with me as well as a can of wd40 to help start someone. I had a cell go bad in my engine starting battery and used the jumpers from one 12 to the starting battery worked like a charm at least got me to the ramp. The cables were not hot but if you do this don't use cheap jumpers....
It would be best to contact the engine manufacturer. I have a Merc 250 proxs and Mercury recommends only cranking batteries with a min of 1000 MCA.
