He does realize that when you hold the highest office in the land that more is required of the job then just showing up and saying "present" doesn't he?
The hate I spoke of is not directed to this board. I know what it is like to be discrimited against, I work in and office ran by women, and I feel discrimation everyday, the white and black male are becoming the most discrimated people out there today, and single people, if you do not have children you cannot get any med help, you can only get food stamps. I apologize, I was just blowing off steam due to a comment from a client, who was in here to ask me for gov help, and he called the new prez the n word, that really burnt me up. I was raised in Monroe co, that is a very racist county when I was growing up there and I do admit I had my "redneck" moments, and I regret that. I lived in Florida when they just started intergration, I was bused to an all black school, it was trying times and I felt racism from those students and teachers, it goes both ways. I hope and pray that Obama does good. He is the first pres in history since Kennedy and Regan that is trying to unite this country, I voted for Regan twice, as he at that time in history truly tried to represent the Republican party like it was designed to do. I was raised Babist and Republican, but I changed when the republicans changed, yes I did not like Lowerys speach as it tried to bring up old wounds, he did not need to bring all that up, as if you saw the crowd, they were as one, we the people have put this aside, why cant they? We need to get Bin Laden and all terrosits, I do belive that Obama will not deplete our military, it is already low enough, Iraq has seen to that. Sorry for the misunderstanding and bad comments. I jumped the gun somewhat. But one fact, Ky is one of the most racisit states in the union and also the most backward, we rank low in education, health care and health in general, but we rank high in coruption, illegal drug production and drug problems. Ky needs to move foward and the leadres need to quit treating all of us as slaves. The leaders do not seem to waht to move foward, they do not try to bring good jobs here, as it is easier to control the masses if they are kept at a certin income level, the Ky politicans use this to remain in office, keep them poor, pregent, barefoot and on welfare and you get the votes. Peace to all. And pry that things will change for the better. It is a long hard road we havein front of us and it will take all working together to get things done. By the way, the state is wanting us to take a day off wo pay a month for two years, that would put me in such a bind that I cannot fish or do much of anything as it could cause me to lose my home and more. But the rich leaders of our state do not seem to care, they are not taking a day off wo pay, and they make several hundred grand a year as I am still no making 30,000. after ten years my pay has not increased, this year I am bringing home less due to they raised my ins premium again and also cut the benifits, pay more get less.Don I took a breath, actullay the citizens caused this mortage mess and predatory lending pratices, Clinton goofed on that bill, but live and learn. I post on here to get your reactions and comments as some of you are older and wiser, and I respect all your views and yes geo I do remember those things and I despise that one group like that is so viloent and in the name of religion. These terrosists need stopped dead, if the military cannot do these then send some of us witgh our deer rifles, shotguns and good hounds and we will get them. You are correct they will never stop attacking as they are brainwashed, and to me just plan stupid for doing this, Hamas needed their *** kicked, I hated to see civilins killed, but if they laay with the bad guys and harbor then they are not innocent, sorry but fact is fact. If the Palistinenes want peace then they need to stop Hamas themselves. Peace love and God bless America and the new Pres and all of you.![]()

I believe he will issue a drft to close Gitmo and spit on the graves of the 9/11 victims. My call is he will restructure Bush's tax cuts
Narrow the focus on the war on terror to actually dealing with terrorists.
Quickly rebuild foreign relationships, so that we can once again become respected leaders of global politics.
Help restore Americans faith in our political system.
Restore restore Americans and the rest of the worlds respect for the position of President.
Not spend so much of his first year on Vacation as Bush - if he shows up to work every day he has alread brought about some of the "Change" he spoke of.
I hope to God you are wrong on the inheritance taxes. I'm facing taxes on not one but TWO estates right now.
I believe there will be some changes in banking laws to help people whose homes are in foreclosure. Probably refinancing to lower the payments and allow the people to stay in their homes. It would be a win-win situation for the bank and the homeowner.
Terrorist interrogation tactics will be on Obama's agenda; he seems to want them handled more gently. Bush has already done that. Of the prisoners already freed, it is known that 60 have returned to terrorism; ironically the news reported they "became" terrorists after leaving prison.
Here is an article about the WMD that were never found in Iraq, and why President Bush should be put in prison for invanding Iraq without just cause.
A national defense analyst says President Bush should be commended for keeping quiet about a discovery that could have blown his critics out of the water.
Retired Major General Jerry Curry is a decorated combat veteran who served as an Army aviator, paratrooper, and Ranger during a military career that began during the Korean conflict. He recently wrote on his blog about a very under reported story by the Associated Press.
According to the report, a large stockpile of concentrated natural Uranium, known as "yellowcake," reached a Canadian port to complete a top secret U.S. Operation that included a two-week airlift from Baghdad, and a ship voyage crossing two oceans. The Uranium material had been housed at a former Iraqi nuclear complex 12 miles from Baghdad.
Curry says the president kept mum about the discovery in order to keep terrorists in the dark. "He made a very brave stand, a resolute stand..., in which he decided that he wasn't going to blab everything to the press," Curry commends. "...And in the meantime while he kept it quiet, he was buying time from the terrorists to get all that stuff out of the country. So that's what was done -- he just very quietly kept his mouth shut."
"The press beat him to death for the last several years," he continues, "and now it turns out that, yes, there were weapons of mass destruction...." Curry also maintains that Saddam Hussein had an active nuclear program and the material could have been made into a nuclear weapon.
President Bush's actions took courage, he notes, and all Americans should be thankful to have such a brave president who puts the welfare of the American people above personal considerations
This is one of the reasons I have nothing but respect for the former President of these United States, I dont care what anyone says, he held strong to his beliefs, never wavered in his strong Christian beliefs, and above all, he always had the American peoples best interest in mind, right or wrong, he absolutely loved his country, and its people.
Here's a few things he did on his first day.
Allowed for more information from the Freedom of Information Act.
More restrictions on lobbyist activities from those in his administration, plus restrictions on what his administration personnel can do after they leave related to lobbying.
Freezing salaries of about 100 White House employees making over $100K.

Nothing Earth shattering but not a bad start if you ask me and you really should ask me.
Wishin do you have a link to that story?
Well if this salary freeze for everyone making over $ 100,000.00 a year is for the folks working in the White House....Then does this include all those working in the Senate and House of Representatives as well..? if not then why?
The House & Senate are the only types of foundations that can just input and pass a raise whenever they seem to feel like they need one. Heck they even got their own personal Retirement program set up strictly for them....![]()
Agree it's not a bad start far as the lobbyists go, a definite step in the right direction. A change I would applaud is to COMPLETELY eliminate lobbying, and all the gifts, junkets, and other stuff that corrupts politicians. Here's a few things he did on his first day.

Bet his staffers are wishing that inauguration party hadn't cost 170 million. There's nothing like getting a pay freeze when you're hungover from a party you didn't realize you were paying for. Ouch. Will he take the money saved and use it for the first lady's salary?
I will find it for you, I just typed in wmd in canada destroyed, and it came up, if I can get it today will send you the link. Here's a few things he did on his first day.

Good post! You'd never see CNN,NBC,CBS,etc reporting on this, they're way too busy worshiping the new administration. You should've posted this as a separate thread, be real interesting to see what the Bush haters have to say about it. Not much I'd bet. Here is an article about the WMD that were never found in Iraq, and why President Bush should be put in prison for invanding Iraq without just cause.
