Nice report, Andy. That was a "Hot" bush for sure. How many times have you caught one fish and never get a hit after that in heavy cover.

Glad to hear you had a good trip. We didn't have great luck fishing Kissimmee and walk-in-water but our numbers were 40+ in 3 1/2 days, but those smaller lakes can be awesome, I don't think they were spawning yet, the 1st full moon in January wich was the 11th starts them on the spawn, feb's full moon is prime spawn, and march's full moon finish's them up for the most part, but we were right in pre-spawn just a week or so early for the spawn. But we had an awesome trip as well, I'm waiting on our pictures too, we didn't catch any giants either, had one break off that was around 7 or so, I did manage to catch a 25#+ Bowfin, that was a battle and a half, thought it was a monster bass at first only to be disappointed a few seconds later. but Andy wasn't the weather perfect we had 80's everyday and 60's every night....paradise!
Much more brave than me in a 10 foot jon boats with 10 foot gators. I would need a bigger boat, a bigger boat paddle or a bigger gun. Good trip sounds like and nothing like those honey holes.
