are they the cansiter type or somethign else...if they are the canister type all u have to do is push the clip back, twist, and pull it out then unplug the wires that are clipped together on the outside... that is all u have to do... but look at the pumps and make sure there is no fishin line or anythign sucked up in em causing them to jam cause believe it or not fishin line can come thru the screen on your intake and get in them pumps... also check all your fuses if they both arent working that could be the problem too.... but if u have to change them out it is no major task.... it is about as hard to change those pumps out as it is to put wiper blades on a truck.... oh yeah and dont take the pumps off while u are still on the water....i did this and its a real bad ideal......

They are the canister type, so it looks like I could probaly do that myself, if its as simple as that. Will give it a try, and let you know how it went. Thanks for the info, probaly saved me a lot of money paying someone to do it. Bob

Bob, I live in Mt. Washington too and wouldn't mind to help you out at no charge, just let me know how to contact you. I have changed a few live well pumps out over the years.

You didnt read your message on boat discussion board.

(Hey Doug, was going to get in touch with you in a couple of weeks, to see if you can put some livewell pumps in the Ranger. They are located down where you put that transducer, and from what I hear its not to bad to install. Would you have any interest in doing that? Let me know and when I get them in I will call you. Yea that amount plus another 13,000 and you can have it.)
