My Predictions

The other post got too long and nasty, so I will start my own predictions for what I expect to happen this year. The following are in decending order of probability (for this year):

1. MUTIPLE TERROREST STRIKES all over the continental United States. There won't be one big one, there will be many "small ones" around the country, possibily all on the same day. From what I have seen, the election of Obama has been praised by almost every terrorist group in the world, including Hammas and Al Quiida. As one pundit said, it is like hiring the town's biggest known child molester to babysit for your child.

2. GUN and AMMUNITION RESTRICTIONS on private citizens. in spite of the recent Suprem Courth decision affirming the right of people to own guns, this right will be drasticly curtailed, probably starting with controls on buying and selling ammunition.

3. REPRATIONS FOR SLAVERY. Because of the economy, it won't necessarily pass THIS YEAR, but look for bills to be introduced in Congress to pay reprations to decendents of slaves. The propsoed amount to be paid will probably be large.

4. NO MORE ASSISTANCE/SUPPORT FOR ISREAL. There won't be any open/announced policy that Isreal is now on its own but it won't receive any more political or military support from us. Look for Isreal to try to take out Iran's Nuke facilities and for Iran to send missles at the U.S. because of it.

I have other predictions but I want to stay within the realm of probility for this year

I honestly hope I am wrong, but this is what I expect.

Grump I hope you are wrong to brother but I to am very worried.
Does it concern anybody else other than me that these Middle Eastern people of all walks of life keep referring to our New President as their........Brother. I think the terrorist organizations view him as weak and sympathetic to their cause.

I definitely expect the assault weapons ban to be reinstated along with a tax on ammo...at least I expect it to be tried and I am not sure what will stop it consider they control every aspect of government now. Freedom could become a thing of the past.

Mark, from what I have read, they not only consider him to be a BROTHER but they think he will be their protector. They think he not only won't try to stop them but surely won't go after them after they strike, at least no worse than Clinton did. What was the old saying about "Stick and Stones"? The terrorist aren't afraid of words nor our FBI. With Pennetta in charge of CIA and the other Intelligence agencies, nothing will be done to stop them. You have every right to be worried--I AM ALSO!!

In other parts of the world groups that have separated themselves either by race, organization, or religion are called tribes, factions, terrorists, etc. Each has a common goal and that is to destroy the other by whatever means necessary in order to take control of the region. There are many different groups of races/nationalities now in larger United States cities that have already segregated themselves, i.e, Chinatown, Little Japan, Ghetto, Little Havana, Little Cuba, The Hood, for that purpose. This makes it a hotbed for terrorists activity right in our back yard. I'm not calling people of all those nationalities terrorists but some do hide in those communities. I read about the unbelievable number of terrorist groups that are already organized and training every day on our soil. My husband said, "They is already here amongst us." (bad grammar intended). Beware when strangers speak well of you; they will hug your neck and slit your throat at the same time. jmo

Hamas just came out today (well, actually this news story is dated tomorrow, but it IS tomorrow over there) saying that Obama represents no change from Bush:

Doesn't sound like "praise" to me. But let's just say for the sake of argument that the terrorist groups DID praise him. Who cares? They're a bunch of lunatics, and I can't think of anybody whose opinion matters less.

On this one you might not be far off the mark. He certainly has expressed support for over-zealous gun control. But I think the recent Supreme Court ruling that affirmed that the Second Amendment applies to individuals, not just organized militias, will represent a major stumbling block to passing any additional gun control. And rightly so.

That's just way over the top; he's never said he supported anything like that. This is the only direct comment I can find by Obama on the subject, from the South Carolina, April 26, 2007, CNN debate. Anderson Cooper asked, "Senator Obama, [what is] your position on reparations?" Obama said, "I think the reparation we need right here in South Carolina is investment, for example in our schools. I did a town hall meeting in Florence, South Carolina, in an area called the corridor of shame. They've got buildings that students are trying to learn in that were built right after the Civil War. And we've got teachers who are not trained to teach the subjects they're teaching and high dropout rates. We've got to understand that there are corridors of shame all across the country. And if we make the investments and understand that those are our children, that's the kind of reparation that are really going to make a difference in America right now."

Obama has repeatedly stated his support for Israel, and his voting record supports that. As for Israel trying to take out Iran's nukes... maybe, but I doubt they're that stupid. And Iran can send missiles "at" the U.S. all it wants; that's about like me throwing a baseball "at" the moon. They don't have the firepower to get one out of the middle east, let alone halfway around the world.

I find this kind of doomsday response to Obama's election to be just as over-the-top as those who act like he's the Second Coming.

As far as freedoms, better check things such as wire tapping and assorted things the last Admin did.

I'm not as up on politics and world events as I should be so maybe I shouldn't be throwing my two cents worth in on this subject, but my take on some of the things going on are like this:

1. I think the terrorists reference Obama as "brother" for the same reason all of the "other brothers" in Louisville do, lol...

2. I think the terrorists like Obama because they know our country is racially divided in some aspects (face it, some votes for and some votes against were based strictly on race) and in my opinion it gets back to basics, united we stand, divided we fall. The more chaos and differences we have in our own country, the better the terrorist groups like it.

I'm my opinions on this are way off the mark, but this is how my mind seems to be working when it comes to this subject.

1Terrorist strike is very possible.
2 More anti gun laws. The Supreme Court doen't have to ban guns to make them hard to get. I look for a tax on Ammo to be so high and especially if they pass that shell casing staping fingerprint on new ammo sold. So look for negative changes in gun laws for people who abide by the law on them.
3. I don't think he will give Slavery Reprobations. It would tick off too many people that voted for him. Remember he wants elected again.
4. Don't worry about the Isrealies. I am very much so Pro Isreal and remember they are GOD's chosen people so they are well taken care of. And don't think for a minute that they have not been hording up the good stuff we been giving them for a while. And besides they are the 2nd most well trained military in the world next to the good old USA. In the grand scheme of world peace it might not be a bad thing if Isreal went in and took care of some of that buisness over there. I think we can only hold them back so long before they are threatened with extinction.
5. This was not said but I look for our Military to be depleted. Both Carter and Clinton downsized our military and our funding and after all Barny Fwank said he wanted to see Military Funding cut by 25%.

I can name more but I have scared my self enough for one night.

Ohh I will add that I think Gas will be over 6 bucks a gallon and electric bills will double once they lay this green tax on us. We must save the ice caps and all the bull you know.

Roadtoad, you read something into my post that wasn't there. Except in the first point, I did not even mention Obama, let alone blame him for the things I predicted. He is part of the equation however, because now we have in power the most Liberal group that we could possible get, Obama, Palose, Reed, et al.

You did mention him in that first point, and based on your statement that "he is part of the equation," and the timing of your post (two days after Obama's inauguration), I really don't think I was reading too far between the lines. If your predictions truly are not based on Obama being the new president, I'd be interested to know what they actually are based on.
