I love the "Proudly candadian and conservative" intro and closure. That assures me this will be a non-biased report. LOL!!!!! I don't understand what I am supposed to get from this. 1. Bush tried to many things and succeeded in few - blame it all you want on a democratic congress, I blame it on poor leadership skills. 2. Republicans preach the private sector and lack of government control, however the first video is all about the republican administration trying to regulate a large portion of our mortgage industry - which I wish would have been successful, and it could have prevented a great deal of our current mess.

I have said this before about Bush and his administration - he had some good ideas, however the entire administration lacked the ability sell thier vision, and follow through on the majority of those. I wonder how successful he would have been if his attention for the majority of his eight years had not been centered around Iraq??

IRAQ was necessary...........it was handled wrong, if you ask me, but I will say it again. EVERY country around IRAQ...even those that suppossedly HATE US, are GLAD Saddam Hussein and his regime are GONE. EVERY ONE of THEM. AND for that matter, pretty much every OTHER western country are glad too.

BUT lets go back to the most critical DOMESTIC issue..........the financial crisis. All I hear is how BUSH caused this and how BUSH caused that......CAN you at least admit that there are a TON of democrats, and a LOT of them on tape in these two videos that are legitimately to BLAME for a ton of our financial problems.

I place blame where blame is due......and there is plenty to go around.......but most democrat and liberals seem to have blinders on.........

Finally, something we can agree on. I never pinned the financial crisis on Bush, he may share some of the blame with about 1,000 others - I have said that a ton on here. Clinton pushed for the mortgage ease, which initially was a great idea - it helped me get my first house. However, greed made it spiral out of control.

My main concern with Bush, in terms of the financial crisis, is that this issue did not spring up overnight, and he had little to no impact on a possible solution. The stimulus checks were a joke - they had no impact on the economy. I think this was more to stimulate his perception in the eyes of the people, rather than to stimulate the economy.

    What.......some middle ground...........whose growing soft

Look, I'm clearly NOT happy with how things turned out............we'll just have to wait and see.....

I'd love to see the administration forget about trying to go after Bush, Cheney and ANYONE else they can try to prosecute, and focus on the Financial crisis.

We need SERIOUS leadership, SERIOUS bipartisanship......SERIOUS, PAINFUL work to get this crap together.

Bush had it all going for him right off the bat.

9-11: If someone had kicked their butts long ago this would not have happened. I blame both parties for this.

Bush declares war on terror and stated UP FRONT that he would go where ever the terrorist are to fight them. Both parties gave full support. It was about time we did something about these crazed nuts.

Not into the war but a few months and the dems are starting to raise cain wanting to know when the war will end. What is the exit plan! How much is this war going to cost.

I’m sorry but I can not remember any past wars that we were involved in that we had an exit plan until the war was over.

    Katrina: 1st. mother nature.
2nd. It was more handy to call Bush a screw up than to call the Nat. Guard.
3rd. The mayor of New Orleans should have been tried for man slaughter. All of the school busses could have hauled some folks to safety.
4th. The blame game sets in.
5th. FEMA. This country has been blessed to have not had anything as destructive before. Would the whole Katrina thing been handled any better when Clinton was in? I don't think so. We had never seen anything like it in the past. I pray we are better equipped today and that nothing like it happens again.

The dems in the dark of night declare war on the Republican Party. This is nothing new. Both parties cause as much harm to the each other as possible no matter the cost to our country politically. Neither party ever wants to take responsibility for any thing that goes wrong. Think of what we could accomplish if both parties worked together for America instead of themselves!

The economy is starting to really hurt. NAFTA which both parties supported and Clinton signed was hard enough on the America economy.

If we add all of the dollars up that the above mentioned things have cost this country could it have caused inflation? Was it all Bushes fault? I say no it was not all of Bush's fault there is plenty blame to go around.

Fanny Mae and Freddie Mack are government run and are not held accountable. There is no oversight. My understanding is that if I am a home buyer that chances are about 50% that Fanny or Freddie were sold my home lone from my bank.

If the above is true and God forbid I loose my home as I am a bad risk because that is the loans that both Fanny Mae and Freddie Mack were set up to buy by our government. But my bank has no worries because they made a profit off of me and Fanny Mae and Freddie Mack.

Did I mention that Fanny Mae and Freddie Mack are government owned. That means that You and I are buying high risk loans from the banks.

My bank has made money by selling my bank note. That seems like a win win for my bank.
But I feel sorry for the banks because they are so broke that they can only pay me a very very low interest rate on my savings account. This forces them to loan my money to others on high interest short term loans. Why they are so broke that in Bowling Green they have had to build new banks on most corners.

Now here is where the real problems are. Fanny Mae and Freddie Mack are broke. Now the banks would have to use their money to finance me a home loan. The bank would have to take the risk instead of us tax payers. DA
