I was finally able to get the group to go with a fisherman this year. We talked to Jimmie Houstons agent but couldn't work out some things, and Tom Miranda from ESPN's real tree outdoors was willing but couldn't come on the 20th because of TV conflicts with scheduling so one of the guys was able to book a guy named Glenn Chappelear from the FLW and Everstart tour. First and foremost , the speaker must be a christian since this is a church function. I don't know much about the guy but he comes with rave reviews from churches who have had him speak. Door prizes will be given away including a $500 gift card to Bass pro shops. If anyone is interested in attending, you can call the church office(502) 955-6539 or email [email protected]. The church web site (fbcmw.org)has last years speaker (Pat Day) testimony on line so you can hear that if interested ( very powerful talk about his life,career, battle with alcohol and cocaine and his conversion to a christain life). The date is March 20th , tickets are $10, and doors open @5:00, dinner @ 6:30, several booths/exhibits to check out. I don't think we allow people to sell items at the dinner but I will check on that. We sell out pretty quick most years (500-600) so if interested contact the church. I hope the fishing community supports it because only 2 or 3 of us fish regularly, everone else just hunts.
