I predict 4.1 inches by 8am Tuesday morning in Paoli, IN (where I work) and an additional 2.6 inches on Tuesday throughout the day. Some garbage snow littered in Tuesday night (<1 inch no significant impact).
Hopefully some of it melts off so the creek levels will raise about 6 inches. I'm off Friday....
Wow Prowler is a weather man to, lol. You can't be worse than the rest of these so called experts, lol.I predict 4.1 inches by 8am Tuesday morning in Paoli, IN (where I work) and an additional 2.6 inches on Tuesday throughout the day. Ugh, my electric is as good as off with this coming in. I just hope it's not off for a couple of days like I expect if we get the amount of ice they are talking about here ( 1.5" )
Well at least I'm prepared this time.
I'll believe it when I see it! LOL. They are usually wrong and as far as ice goes lets hope that it stays away! My daughter is hoping for alot of bad weather so school can be called off!
When the electric goes off this time, at least I can place my freezer contents outside in the cold.
Firewood is stacked in the garage and my propane tank is full for the grill.
Helpful hint: If you have those solar powered outside landscape lights you can bring them in at dusk to light your stairways, etc.
I hope they are wrong this time. Last word here a few minutes ago was 2-4 inches of ice!!! I didn't believe it at first, they tend to over-estimate here, however, the weather channel has one of thier broadcast vans on location here in paducah. I was in lexingon for that ice storm, and don't want to go through that again. I do have a propane stove ready to go, the grill ready, and a ventless gas fireplace ready to fire up. Also have a headlamp and a stack of fishing mags, and a book I need to read. So I am preparing for the worst, but hoping for the best. I hope all stays good with all of you folks.
I am usually hoping for snow to miss a few days of work. However, I am missing the end of the year with the twins coming, so every snow day now, turns into a sick day later.
2-4' of ice? Can you imagine? Man that's bad! Good luck dude.I hope they are wrong this time. Last word here a few minutes ago was 2-4 inches of ice!!! Been downgraded some to up to 2 inches of ice, then some sleet accumulation, then some snow accumulation. Still stinks. I don't remember how much we had several years ago in Lex, but I think it was around an inch. I don't want anywhere near that ammount, much less more.
I just looked outside and we already have a good 1/4 inch and it just started. Slid the dog across the porch - that's probably as much fun as I will have with it.
Well guys it is here. Roads look bad and I am about to venture out on them to take momma to work. Should be a nice 40 mile rounds trip. I can stand on my back porch and see I 65 and the traffic is moving slow which is not a good sign. Everyone be safe.
I'm at work and we got some snow and sleet. Here in Oldham County I'm saying at least 6 inches. Now they are saying we might see an inch of ice tonight, boy's if that happens on top of what we already have it's not going to be good. Get the firewood ready, I can not wait for this miserable winter to be over, it just can't end soon enough for me, I'm tired of being cold, lol.
Not as bad here on the South side of Lex as predicted. Maybe an inch of snow/ice? It's icy but not what I expected....thankfully. The old Toyota is covered in ice but it's not terrible and I have melting snow/ice dripping off the house. Gonna go get it started right now.
