Are you REALLY SERIOUS..........Patoka is a pretty good lake at times, but it is NO WAY even in the same league as Barkley or KY.......I live about 1 hour from Patoka, and will drive the 3 or 4 hours nearly EVERY time over going to Patoka.

Now, don't get me wrong........I've caught tons of fish there, and know some really decent spots, but NO WAY can I catch the size, quantity, or QUALITY as the fish I catch at the KY or Barkley.

Call me when you have back to back to back 100 fish days on Patoka.....

    Later,

    Geo

    Re: Taylorsville? Spring?

if you go to taylorsville dont beat the banks all day. fish a little deeper ad go early and leave early or go in the evening and stay all night. it can be good or it can be bad but i enjoy fishing it in the spring and fall when the traffic isnt as bad but with that being said i was there in late october and there was three guys in wet suits riding jet skis in front of possum ridge. i also caught my biggest LM from that lake in november on a bandit 100 series in the pearl/blk back in about 3 1/2 foot of water. a nice 5.4 beauty.

but i agree with geo and elnutt potoka can not compete with KY. if you can go, go too KY or give taylorsville a try if you need to stay closer. also why not beaver lake in lawrenceburg?

Believe he lives in Lawrenceburg Indiana. (Also the motor restriction deal at Beaver prevents some guys as well).
