Well I'M Glad I checked back on here before I went over to look at them. He said he was at the Cave city swap meet, so I'm assuming it was the same guy. Thank's for the info I think I'll pass on this one. My son just bought a few of the Johnny morris signiture series rod's at BPS on clearance with his discount for about $42, I think I'll have to confiscate a couple of them.
    Thx David

I bought an All Star spinning rod at DSG a couple of years ago and I think that's about what I spent, maybe a little more. Haven't had any problems at all. It's the best spinning rod I've got.

i bought two at the strader show last year for $70 and i like them and have not had any problems what so ever. i had a problem with two of the ugly stick rods and it was determined by shakespear after i sent both back to them that the blanks had a defect in them and the two they sent for replacement are great and i havent had any trouble so the all star blanks may have been defective as well.

Not sure what you all are talking about, may be a different model or something....??? I have 6 All-Star rods, the American Classic (2005) model. Never have had a problem. Fished them 3 years now and love em'!! I gave $99.99 for them at BassPro in Nashville. I did have a Pro II model one time and had some issues with it. It is "was" a cheaper model. Honestly though I'm gradually changin over to loomis rods. But for $40 I'd probably atleast see what he had. FYI, a couple days ago I saw an All-Star WR1 go for $77 plus $18 shipping. WHAT!!! What were they thinking...? You can get a brand new team all-star "right now" at BassPro for $79.99.. Beats me!
