    Lexington boat show

Talked to John Webb from Marineworks a little while ago. Anyone interested in a good deal on a Bullet, Legend, or Tahoe pontoon should go and talk to John at the show. The new Marineworks showroom should also be open soon, located at Pandora Marina on Herrington Lake. I've seen some of the boats that are going to be at the show and let me tell you, they will have one of the nicest exhibits at the show.

    Re: Lexington boat show

With the economy in the tank and people losing their jobs by the thousand, I am glad that I am not in the business of trying to sell high dollar boats. I think that there will be lots of dreamers and lookers, but no takers. Big boats are nice to look at, but how in the world can people afford to drop 30K to 50+K on a fishing boat? They must have one helluva job and lots of cash lying around the house. I would hate to think that I had to make payments for the next 15-20 years on a boat. That's just me. There are lots of people in the boat market though; I see lots of nice rigs out on the water. I just hate to hear a guy that has a $50K rig and then complain about $4/gal gas. And yes, they got $4/gal once and they will not rest until they get it again.

Anybody that is looking for an EXCELLENT 2007 Triton TR-186 with a 175 Yamaha HPDI does not need to go to the show. Just call my buddy, Chunknwind, that has his for sale. Guaranteed for what you will pay for this boat, YOU WILL NOT FIND A BETTER DEAL.

If it was my money I was putting down for a new boat right now, I'd have to stick with a marine dealer with excellent service and has withstood downfalls in the econonmy before. For my money, you can't beat Stokley's in the central kentucky area for service, longevity and reliablity. NO, I DO NOT WORK FOR STOKELY'S! I did buy my Tracker boat from there ten years ago and have nothing but positive things to say about these folks.

The good news is you don't have to pay $30k plus for abrand new tournament loaded boat. If you are a club level fisherman or just a guy who likes to save money, We'll have the perfect boat for you at the show. We've got 17.5 foot Stratos with 70 horsepower for $14,800 BRAND NEW! You get 4 years engine warranty, great rod storage, huge tackle storage, huge front deck, fish finder, prop and batteries all for $14,800. I know it won't go 70 but it'll help you catch the hound out of fish!

Marine Works is defintely worth visiting if you go to the show. They have my business now and in the future for service on my boat. The new Master Technician / Service Manager there has many years of experience and training and is the best at what he does that I have dealt with over the years. I am on my third boat and seem to be able to cause more than my share of needed repairs. He has always been very honest, goes above and beyond to make things right, and I was more than happy to follow him from his previous place of employment. Best thing is that now I can speak to him directly instead of the front desk person.
