    Taxes

Now they found out that (No need for guns) Daschle made a mistake on his taxes. It makes me wonder if he would have paid his taxes if he was not nominated for a cabinet position. Why don't they vet all of our politicians and find out how many more made a mistake on their taxes. The democrats seem to be good at raising taxes but they don't seem to like paying them. Didn't Biden say it was our civic duty to pay taxes?

I will bet that the Senate confirms him anyhow. They will do just like they did with Getner, who is now over the IRS to insure that we pay our daxes, they will say it was an honest mistake and nothing more will be said. If they are going to accept that kind of excuse/thinking from the guy that is to collect our taxes, they won't have a thought about accepting it from the guy that will be asking us to pay higher Medicare fees and/or taking our Medicare "entitlements" away from us to pay for the Stimulus Plan.

I can't believe that the american people can let these crooks be put in charge of our taxes. Go ahead, you make some honest mistakes with your taxes and see what kind of attitude the Gov. has toward you. I already know and it isn't pleasant. I agree with one of our founders who said charity should never come from the Government. I will give you a good example why. I know someone that is visibly shaken by the fact that OSHA fined him $6,000.00 for whatever reason they need. He was making payments in the amount of $300.00 a month. As punishment for not getting it payed down fast enough to keep them happy, they raised it to $14,000.00 just because they can. In the mean time, his taxes lapsed and now he is in debt to our Government to the tune of $86,000.00. The man is visibly shaking and I would be too if the heavy hand of Government were coming down on me like that. He is a poor working man just like most of us. In the name of charity, his monies are in the process of beening confiscated to help poeple that are probably better off than he is. Does this make sense? I think not. And now we as a people have asked for more of this kind of opression in the form of Socialism. The next time you see people like the fellow I've just discussed, look at yourselves and imagine you are self employed and the government is after you. All I want from my Government is to be left alone. Provide for the common defense. I will take care of my neighbor just like we all should do. Charity starts with individuals not almighty Government.

    Outstanding post!

I couldn't agree with the last few sentences more.

Can we assume the jobs the person you know were providing in his or her business are gone or in jeopardy?

    Re: Taxes

I'm starting to think all Democrats are crooks, ALL OF'EM!!!! Of course all politicians are crooks no matter what party they hail from, heck that's why they are politicians, so they can be professional crooks and get payed to do it.
